At Sanford Laboratories, we realize that health care providers expect more than just test results from their chosen reference laboratory. Experienced Medical Technologists are available for consultation on an hourly fee-for-service basis.
Sanford Laboratories also has Regulatory Consultants available to assist with compliance-based and billing topics. Consultation services focus on various operational areas of the laboratory and provide updates on regulatory information. Educational in-services can also be scheduled.

Bill Hofer has been Sanford Laboratories' Director of Business Development since its founding in 1994. With over 25 years of management experience in the reference laboratory setting, Bill acknowledges, “the business and service issues faced by reference laboratories are complex and challenging. I especially enjoy taking on these issues and finding solutions that result in wins for our patients, our clients, and our employees. Mike Dott brings over 35 years of reference laboratory experience—with 28 years in management—to his role as Sanford Laboratories' Senior Consulting Technologist. His genuine personality and commitment to thorough task completion are hallmarks of Mike’s ‘will-do’ attitude. Mike enjoys “talking to and assisting my clients with their laboratory needs and challenges, which are varied and on-going. DeeAnn Lovett, BS, MT(ASCP) Consulting Medical Technolgist
Prior to DeeAnn Lovett’s over 25 years as a Consulting Medical Technologist, she worked as a generalist in a hospital laboratory and as a Clinic Laboratory Supervisor. DeeAnn has “always enjoyed the challenge of solving a math story problem or putting a puzzle together, so I think of the Laboratory as a place to find answers to make or support the Health Care Provider’s diagnosis. Kari Nornes began her laboratory career working in an acute care clinic, advanced to eight years of management in multispecialty clinics, and became a Consulting Medical Technologist in 1989. “Every day I am pointed in a new direction and challenge.” Kari finds fulfillment when she can “be helpful and resourceful to the clients I serve…answer their questions, meet the regulatory requirements…or help make their laboratory run smoother.” The philosophy of Sanford Laboratories and “the respect I have for my coworkers keeps me motivated and focused. Al Reuer, based at Sanford Laboratories – Rapid City, has one year of hospital laboratory experience, 10 years as supervisor in a reference laboratory, and 16 years as a Consulting Medical Technologist---which also included purchasing responsibilities. Bobbi L. Andera, MT, AMT Business \ Regulatory Manager
As Sanford Laboratories' Business/ Regulatory Manager, Bobbi Andera “learns something new everyday,” as she manages Accounts Receivable, compliance, quality assessment, process improvement, continuing education, and safety functions for Sanford Laboratories. In addition, Bobbi is responsible for providing consulting services with Sanford Laboratories' clients as needed. Prior to this position, Bobbi worked in a hospital laboratory for 14 years and spent 5 years in management. With over 30 years of laboratory bench work and management experience, Linda Karel brings valuable knowledge to her role as Sanford Laboratories' Regulatory Consultant. For two years, Linda managed quality assessment, performance improvement, and continuing education for all of Sanford Laboratories, and is now responsible for overseeing regulatory issues.
